Episodes release once a month.
Indie Frequencies is a show where I do short reviews of small audio dramas: the less well-known, the better. I also only review shows I like; if I can’t find something I love about the show, I won’t review it.
In my reviews, I talk about what I liked, what I didn’t like, my notes, and the headspace each episode left me in. It’s a fun, casual time; as for the vibe, think of it like your friend info-dumping about a podcast they really want you to listen to but don’t want to spoil.
So far I’ve reviewed:
- Waiting for October (Ep 1)
- A Somewhat Peculiar Frog (Ep 2)
- I Found a Wormhole (Ep 2)
- Storybook Ending (Actual Play) (Ep 3)
- WAKERS (Ep 4)
- Roy Kaplan: Out of Sight (Ep 5)
If you have a show you think I’d like (even and especially if you happen to be that show’s creator!), click below to email me, but read what I like to listen to first.
I don’t listen to things with ‘bad’ endings, and I usually don’t do horror (but send it in anyway, no harm done! Maybe I’ll give it a shot). I especially like drama, hurt/comfort, and laughter–not necessarily all at once! I’m a big fan of apocalypse stories (see Apocalypse Radio), high fantasy tales (see The Soulmate Quest), and urban magic (give it time, I’m sure I’ll get there eventually). I like romance and adventure! I do not like historical fiction, sorry. But hey, try to convince me otherwise. Why not.
Queer/Disabled main characters net you extra points!
When pitching a show to me, let me know if the show in question has any of the things I really like! That’ll put it higher up on my list.
Alright, without further ado, here’s the email you can send suggestions to.
